But they’re not just beautiful, but so good for your health. Sushi is one of English words these days, but do you know Sashimi? Sashimi is as popular as Sushi in Japan. It is raw food, often sliced thin.
Difference between Sushi and Sashimi?
Sushi is shaped with vinegared rice. But in case of Sashimi, rice is offered separately.
Sushi toppings are not necessarily raw. For example, you can make with fried eggs, boiled corns, Natto (fermented soybeans), etc.
But Sashimi’s raw materials are always raw 🙂
You can make Sashimi with beef, horse, and other foodstuff. But the most common ingredients are, of course seafoods. In the photo, the front row is Tuna fish, and the row behind is Kanpachi (greater.
Tuna is already wide known as one of the healthiest foods. They are a good source of protein, with the impressive amount of vitamins and minerals. Most significant for me is that they contain very high levels of omega-3 fatty acids. They have enormous health benefits not only for your body, but also for your brain.
They decrease the risk of heart diseases. They reduce your blood pressure levels. They help brain growth and development in infants, just to name a few.
(greater ) is luxury fish for Sushi and Sashimi. The firm texture, the moderate fat content, and the rich flavor fascinate many people.
Like Buri (Yellowtail), farmed Kanpachi dominate the market. The quality is almost as good as the ones caught from wild. The wild ones have the best season from early summer till autumn. But you can enjoy the farmed ones throughout the year.
Nutritious contents are similar to Tuna. They are very rich in the omega-3 fatty acids. They are excellent for health.
And the beauty of the plate and the knife is excellent, too!
